Rework
Hydraulic cylinder rework usually
consists of cylinders being dismantled to allow for refabrication.
Tubes or rods normally have trunions or eyelets welded on one
end. We have A & B fixtures on our center-less grinders allowing
us to process a complete cylinder. The rule of thumb being that
the trunion cannot be more than twice the diameter of the rod
body.
Normal rework consists of strip, polish,
weld (TIG) if necessary, plate to original size and
re-polish. Usually .002 to .005 side can repair most cylinders.

rework needs.
